Meir Ben Michael was born in Casablanca, Morocco, and when a year old his family moved to Israel and lived in Herzliya. At 14 he began to learn to play the guitar at Ein Harod.

 

He served in the Central Command band player and during his service he became interested in jazz. In 1985 he went to study at "Berkeley" in Boston and graduation lived in New York. Where he lived for ten years and made his living as a musician jazz.


In 1995 came the album of the son of Michael, Relief. That same year, he returned to Israel. In 1997 participated in the International Guitar Festival and presented a musical tribute to George Benson televised. In 1998, he initiated a project called "lyrical bop", which combined the Moroccan Liturgical and B-Bop, which was presented at the festival "Jazz in the Red Sea".

In 2010 the album "Never". This is the first album where the son of Michael sings and plays original songs, and has a well known Israeli song arrangements. Participants album: Isaac Klafter, Mazi Cohen, Shiran Fresco, Dafna Armoni and Peter Wertheimer.


Meyer won in 2013 jazz festival held in Odessa, the Ukraine and won matches Hgitarist best among musicians than forty countries participated.

Today, Meir continues to perform in Israel and abroad and cooperates with many artists and Meir is currently working on an album Ainstormantli calculations jazz known Israeli songs.
